According to KrASIA, Chinese multinational Tencent plans to create an independent oversight board dedicated to the protection of personal data. The board will offer third-party reviews of Tencent’s services and products to ensure compliance with China's Personal Information Protection Law, which takes effect Nov. 1. The board will consist of 15 members from various backgrounds, including technology professionals, lawyers and other industries.
