A group of major tech companies is joining forces to improve data sharing between health care organizations, CNBC reports. IBM, Amazon, Alphabet, Microsoft and Salesforce released a joint statement during the Blue Button 2.0 Developer Conference stating they are committed to “removing barriers for the adoption of technologies for healthcare interoperability, particularly those that are enabled through the cloud and AI.” The tech companies aim to build tools for the health care industry based around the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources common standards for sharing data electronically.
