The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority plans to conduct a pair of risk analysis into Tele2 and Telenor after the operators reported data breaches in their sales support systems, Telecompaper reports. The agency will investigate whether the two operators have met the requirements to safeguard personal data, as well as look at the procedures for access and authorization. The breaches occurred earlier this year and resulted in unknown actors accessing subscriber information. PTS said the data may have been used for unsolicited marketing.
