The Swedish data protection authority, Datainspektionen, announced it will launch an investigation into whether various entities within the country used Clearview AI. The DPA plans to send questions to police departments, the Coast Guard, the Migration Agency and others on their use of Clearview’s facial-recognition services and whether their use of its services were legal, according to Datainspektionen Lawyer Elena Mazzotti Pallard.
