Studies by the Dentsu Aegis Network and Clever Real Estate reveal U.S. consumers are not confident firms can protect their data, MediaPost reports. Dentsu polled 43,000 people globally for "The Digital Society Index 2019: Human Needs in a Digital World," which found 41% of U.S. consumers have faith in companies' data protection capabilities, while 75% of U.S. consumers would stop doing business with a firm that misused their data. Clever Real Estate surveyed 1,139 Americans, finding that 95% have privacy concerns with their social media accounts. Privacy issues on Facebook concerned 80% respondents, while 86% have decided to share data with a website or app based on its look.
