A YouGov survey found 75% of small and medium-sized enterprises in France and Germany say tracking-based advertisements by Google and Facebook undermine users’ privacy, Euractiv reports. But 69% of surveyed businesses reported no other option but advertising with Facebook and Google, while 79% said the companies’ use of personal data should be more strongly regulated. The survey results come as the EU Parliament is set to vote on the Digital Services Act, amid calls for a ban on targeted advertising.
