A survey administered to Singaporean companies by cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks found that only one-third of companies share information on cyber incidents with industry peers for fear of being seen as a victim of data breaches, TODAYonline.com reports. The survey found that the negative effect on the organization's reputation is perceived to be greater than the financial impact. Furthermore, it found that nearly half the respondents found the ongoing evolution of cybersecurity solutions as a "primary barrier to ensuring cybersecurity in their organisations." The survey follows an announcement of newly proposed laws intended to secure Singapore’s defense against cyberattacks.
