A new survey conducted by The Clearing House reveals approximately one-third of U.S. banking consumers use mobile financial technology apps to manage their funds, but those users also expressed concerns about data privacy, GovInfoSecurity reports. The survey asked, "What's your level of comfort sharing data with the fintech apps?" According to Clearing House Executive Vice President David Fortney, CIPP/E, nearly all respondents "had some level of concern or discomfort." Fortney said, "Consumers are concerned about the safety and security of their information, but they are also holding accountable, in a way, their primary bank for ensuring that these things are done in a way that is secure and respectful of their privacy."
