According to The Verge’s Tech Survey 2020, 41% of Americans trust Facebook to safeguard their personal information. Of the 1,123 respondents, 75% trust Microsoft, while 73% trust Amazon. Seventy-two percent said Facebook has too much power, and 56% said companies should be split if they control too much of the economy. “With multiple investigations now underway against the tech giants at both the state and federal levels,” the report states, “there’s good cause for companies to pay attention to the rise of anti-tech sentiment.”
