A survey conducted by 7stars found 34 percent of U.K. citizens will enforce their “right to be forgotten” once the EU General Data Protection Regulation goes into effect, ComputerWeekly reports. Of the respondents to the survey, 75 percent said the U.K. government needs to make it clear how the GDPR will affect their lives, while 58 percent said the GDPR is a positive step in protecting their privacy. U.K. citizens said the GDPR would help them think higher of businesses, as 32 percent of customers said the rules would lead them to place more trust in organizations in handling their data.
