MediaPost reports on a survey that found U.S. adults are more likely to share personal information in an email than they would while on a date. Encryption services provider Echoworx surveyed 2,000 U.S. adults and found that respondents on average would not share their full name with a date until after two-and-a-half dates, their home address until after four dates, and their salary after six-and-a-half dates. By contrast, 75 percent of respondents said they have shared personal information electronically. "It's interesting that those surveyed were more willing to send personal information across the web than to divulge facts to a person they are getting to know," Echoworx Vice President of Software Sam Elsharif said.
