A report from document destruction company Shred-it examined the cybersecurity risks C-suite executives and small-business owners face, TechRepublic reports. Of the respondents, 47 percent of C-suite executives and 42 percent of small-business owners said accidental loss and employee negligence were the top reasons behind cybersecurity breaches. The report found 86 percent of executives said data breaches were more likely to take place when employees are working remotely. Other findings include 35 percent of small-business owners having a data-storage or deletion policy, while 54 percent of those owners have no policies in place.
