A study released by FTI Consulting found 97% of U.S.-based organizations will increase their data privacy spending this coming year. The study was based on the responses from more than 500 leaders from large U.S. companies and was conducted in November 2019. Of those respondents, one-third said they plan to enhance their data privacy budgets by between 90% and more than 100%. Other findings include 87% that said taking steps toward compliance will mitigate regulatory scrutiny.
