A recent study by Senzing showed that only 40 percent of European companies are prepared for the upcoming EU General Data Protection Regulation, MediaPost reports. Of the 1,015 companies surveyed, less than half responded that they are “very confident” they know where their data is stored. “You can’t search what you can’t find,” said Jeff Jonas, Senzing’s founder. He added, "Finding out who is who and where their data is should be the first principle of GDPR compliance." The study also found that 44 percent of companies from the five largest EU economies are concerned about their abilities to comply with the regulation.
