A study from Thomson Reuters found 57% of U.K. businesses said they have failed to keep up with compliance efforts, Infosecurity Magazine reports. Organizations with an average of 16,000 employees were asked about their standing before and after the EU General Data Protection Regulation went into effect. The number out of the U.K. increased from 44% who said they did not meet global compliance requirements in 2017. The global average for the 2018 report was 48%, with 42% of U.S. businesses and 31% of French organizations that expressed their compliance shortcomings.
