The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the use of online test proctoring and concerns surrounding it, The Verge reports. Some students expressed privacy concerns as proctors continuously monitor them and their surroundings, in addition to viewing personal information and messages. Kristin Ziska Strange, University of Arizona's assistant director of technology and innovation, said, “It makes some people anxious. ... But most of our students understand that this is a part of what their faculty members want them to do.”
