A software program used to monitor University of Regina students while taking exams remotely was temporarily shut down following a security breach, CBC News reports. In notifying the incident, Verificient, the company that created the program Proctortrack, said an “imposter” accessed its server and “emailed out fraudulent messages.” The company said no personal data was accessed, but its system was shut down as a precaution.
