NSO Group, the Israeli security firm behind Pegasus software, now claims it can target cloud servers belonging to big tech companies, Business Insider reports. According to those familiar with the group’s sales campaign and documents shared with the Financial Times, NSO tells prospective clients its software is able to access details, such as location data history, archived messages and photos, by impersonating authentication keys. The documents reportedly reveal that even once the software is removed, users would retain unlimited access to data uploaded to the cloud. Some big tech companies mentioned in the report are now conducting investigations into the claim.
