Spain's data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, released a document on technologies and data protection in public administrations. While technology has changed the way public administrations work, the AEPD said there is also a “specific risk” associated with processing personal data using such technologies. The document analyzes technologies used by administrations and highlights important aspects from a data protection point of view, as well as potential associated risks.
