A South Korean transit line is testing a facial recognition payment system, The Korea Herald reports. The system, developed by T-Money, has been implemented at 22 gates in 13 stations on the Ui-Sinsol line. Travelers would take a picture of themselves and link it to their preferred payment method via the mobile application. T-Money claims it can accurately identify an individual without them having to lower a mask.
