Speaking as part of a panel on cybersecurity at Vanity Fair’s New Establishment Summit, Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton expressed ongoing frustration regarding the company’s high-profile hack, citing specific displeasure that the leaked emails were scrutinized so thoroughly, CNet reports. "Of course, my correspondence was public, especially after Julian Assange decided to WikiLeaks it,” Lynton said, adding, “There was tremendous unrest among the folks at the studio … I don't think it's correct to be publishing those emails.” The report notes Sony settled a lawsuit with former employees who claimed “the personal information stolen in the hack made them vulnerable to identity theft.”
