Engadget reports that some Major League Baseball parks will begin offering a biometric ticketing option. Clear has partnered with MLB.com and Tickets.com to let individuals opt in to fingerprint-based authentication instead of a paper or mobile ticket. Though a pilot program now, Clear plans a more broad rollout in 2019. MLB Executive Vice President of Business Noah Garden said, "Developing a partnership that will unify emerging identity technology and ticketing is reflective of our commitments to always improving ballpark accessibility and maintaining critical security standards."
