Video game software development company Unity Technologies agreed to settle a 2017 class-action lawsuit alleging it violated children’s privacy by using their data for targeted advertising, MediaPost reports. The agreement has not yet been accepted by a judge, and settlement details have not been disclosed. Unity was among the companies sued by parents whose children played gaming apps allegedly containing tracking software. A judge last year rejected Unity’s request to dismiss the lawsuit.
