Former National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden addressed McGill University via video chat Nov. 2, discussing privacy and surveillance issues, The Concordian reports. “We are all being watched, and it doesn’t matter if we do something wrong or right,” Snowden said. He touched on the controversy surrounding the Montreal police reportedly surveilling journalists, calling it a "non-radical attack on freedom.” Snowden also encouraged listeners to fight for their privacy. “You have the obligation and the rights to change the game, it is the decision of your generation,” he said. “It is not my decision, not the government’s decision, but your generation’s decision.”
