Saint Louis University announced it will put 2,300 Amazon Echo Dots in dorm rooms by the start of the next school year, CNET reports. The devices will be programmed to answer campus-related questions, like “What time does the library open today?” Amazon Web Services Director of Education Andrew Ko said, “Amazon Web Services is proud to work with SLU to provide students with quick access to important information, making them feel more comfortable and confident around campus and in the classroom.” David Hakanson, vice president and CIO of the university, added, “Every minute we can save our students from having to search for the information they need online is another minute that they can spend focused on what matters most: their education.”
