Warner Music group filed a data breach notification letter with the Office of the Attorney General in California, stating it suffered a “web skimming” attack earlier this year, ZDNet reports. The company said hackers compromised “a number of U.S.-based e-commerce” supported by an external service provider, and customers’ personal information, including payment card details, may have been acquired by a third party. Meanwhile, a hacking operation deployed newly developed trojan malware targeting financial technology organizations.
