Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission announced a SGD62,400 fine against Eatigo International in relation to a 2020 data breach affecting 2.76 million individuals. The PDPC found the company did not implement sufficient data security measures to a database it lost track of while changing its engineering team. In addition to the fine, the regulator recommended the company build a comprehensive data inventory that classifies various risk levels for the personal data it collects.
