Colombia’s data protection authority, the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio, issued a reminder that “express and informed authorization” must be obtained to process data through technologies like robocalls. “The regulation on Treatment of Personal Data must be applied regardless of the procedures, methodologies or technologies that are used to collect, use or process that type of information,” the SIC wrote.
