U.S. Sens. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Jerry Moran, R-Kan., asked the U.S. Federal Trade Commission to investigate the data practices of the Premom fertility-tracking application. The senators sent a letter to FTC Chairman Joseph Simons in response to an investigation from the International Digital Accountability Council that found the app may have engaged in deceptive consumer data practices. Meanwhile, the FTC launched an inquiry into financial data broker Yodlee.
