Fast Company reports that members of the U.S. Senate staff are now permitted to use messaging app Signal for communications. Signal, an encryption app, was previously a concern for some House Republicans, who worried that using it could break government record-keeping rules, the report states. But in March, the Senate sergeant at arms approved it for use. In response, Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., wrote of his approval of the change, adding he looks forward to "seeing further improvements to the Senate's cybersecurity."
