After a hearing was held on Becca Kelly Slaughter’s nomination to be a member of the Federal Trade Commission, the Senate Commerce Committee announced the nomination vote is scheduled to take place April 25, Broadcasting & Cable reports. If confirmed, Slaughter’s nomination will head to a full Senate vote. Slaughter is currently chief counsel to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., where she covers matters pertaining to consumer protection, patent trolls, privacy and intellectual property.
