After his involvement as a data breach victim, Wired’s Gregory Barber writes that he decided to sell his data for profit. “I’d begun this project with plans to be at the vanguard of the new data economy, to break my data free of its corporate silos and sell it far and wide,” Barber writes. Hoping to cash in, Barber says his foray into the digital economy left him more inclined to disengage his data.
