Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., is pushing for Consumer Federation of America's Rohit Chopra to fill a seat on the Federal Trade Commission, MediaPost reports. Only two of the five FTC seats have currently been filled, and U.S. President Donald Trump is required to pick at least one non-Republican to serve on the agency. "The Federal Trade Commission should be led by people who put the interests of consumers above all else, and that’s what Rohit Chopra has done his entire life," Schumer said. Meanwhile, the FTC has launched a new website designed to help small-business owners protect themselves from cyberattacks.
