NOYB Founder Max Schrems plans to challenge Facebook should it use any new legal basis for data transfers following the Court of Justice of the European Union's ruling on the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield agreement and standard contractual clauses. “Should Facebook purport to rely on any new legal basis, our client will undertake to make submissions by (14 Aug.),” according to a letter from Schrems' lawyer that was posted on NOYB's website. In a statement, Schrems said, "noyb and I will now take every necessary step to ensure that controllers and DPAs will implement the clear decision by the CJEU."
