Chicago Public Schools teachers said Illinois' Student Online Personal Protection Act is preventing them from teaching students with "proven effective" programs, like coding and design applications, the Chicago Sun Times reports. SOPPA better protects student data and gives school district officials enforcement power, which is how CPS can no longer access multiple commonly used programs other districts can. A CPS spokesperson said CPS was "working with these vendors toward a solution to restore these services" for the students.
