In an annual report, Saskatchewan’s Information and Privacy Commissioner Ron Kruzeniski expressed interest in moving forward with a digital ID, the idea for which was paused earlier this year, the Regina Leader-Post reports. Kruzeniski said the digital ID should be optional, only a minimal amount of personal information should be collected, and information obtained should be kept confidential. Kruzeniski added any privacy concerns “can be managed.”
