- Rwanda's Chamber of Deputies announced the adoption of the draft law relating to personal data protection and privacy. The law provides for data subject rights, requirements for data controllers and processers, and noncompliance penalties of RWF 10 million or 5% of annual turnover.
- The Lower House of Paraguay's Chamber of Deputies introduced a data protection bill. "We have been listening to the experiences of other countries, taking into account how unprotected our data is today," Science and Technology Commission Deputy Sebastián García said.
