In this week’s Privacy Tracker global legislative roundup, IAPP Editor Angelique Carson, CIPP/US, and Former President, Californians for Consumer Privacy and MSR Strategies Principal Mary Stone Ross took a dive into what's ahead after the final California Consumer Privacy Act amendments were agreed upon last week. DLA Piper's Jim Halpert and Andrew Kingman and Pithy Privacy Founder Jacob Rubinstein offered further perspective into the CCPA. Morocco has suspended any use of facial-recognition technology. Latvia handed out an EU General Data Protection Regulation fine. New data protection legislation is about to take effect in the Cayman Islands.
