Organizations may be aware of the growing number of data subject requests they receive; however, Transcend CEO Benjamin Brook said they are likely in the dark when trying to estimate the cost. Transcend hopes to address this issue through the release of its Privacy Request Cost Calculator, an open-source tool designed to determine the return on investment for a privacy program as it handles DSRs. IAPP Associate Editor Ryan Chiavetta, CIPP/US, spoke with Brook about the calculator and how privacy professionals can benefit from knowing the ROI of their DSR efforts.
