ABC News reports Amazon-owned Ring has been hit with a proposed $5 million federal class-action lawsuit that claims the camera systems are susceptible to cyberattacks. The lawsuit makes several accusations against Ring, including negligence and invasion of privacy. "Ring failed to meet this most basic obligation by not ensuring its Wi-Fi-enabled cameras were protected against (cyberattack)," plaintiffs wrote in their filing to the U.S. District Court in the Central District of California. "Notably, Ring only required users enter a basic password and did not offer or did not compel two-factor authentication."
