In a recent podcast interview with Stewart Baker, NSA Civil Liberties and Privacy Officer Rebecca Richards, CIPP/US, CIPP/G, acknowledged “agencies should not ‘contort’ the law with ‘cute’ legal interpretations,” The Atlantic reports. Conor Friedersdorf quotes Richards as raising the questions, “Is the institution and what we're doing and how we're doing it sustainable both from a national security perspective and from a protection of privacy and civil liberties perspective?
