The Washington Post reports European Union Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders said he wants to work with U.S. regulators to better protect consumers online. Reynders, who met with U.S. regulators during a trip to Washington last week, also said the two sides are making progress on issues like trans-Atlantic data flows to replace the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. “We will try to see if it’s possible to have a political, clear vision before the end of the year,” Reynders said, adding there has been “a good evolution in a very difficult and sensitive issue.”
