Reuters reports Little Caesars' motion to dismiss a class-action suit under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act has been denied. A U.S. District Court judge turned away the restaurant chain's bid to have the case thrown out based on a perceived lack of claims by the plaintiffs in their complaint and the revelation that one plaintiff consented to the collection of biometric data. Meanwhile, fast-food chain White Castle also failed to have a BIPA suit thrown out.
