Harrisburg University professors and a Ph.D. student said they have created facial-recognition software able to predict whether an individual is a criminal with 80% accuracy and no racial bias, CBS 21 reports. The software uses only an image of a person's face. "A Deep Neural Network Model to Predict Criminality Using Image Processing" will be included in a book series titled "Springer Nature — Research Book Series: Transactions on Computational Science & Computational Intelligence."
