At the IEEE Symposium on Security & Privacy, Carnegie Mellon University researchers presented a security and privacy label to manage the risk of internet-connected devices, Wired reports. Created using interviews and surveys of users and privacy and security experts, the tool highlights the security of a device, how it manages user data and what privacy controls it has. “This work shows and enumerates all the choices and factors for consumers,” Computer Science Assistant Professor Yuvraj Agarwal said.
