A report published in the Journal of Internet Medical Research found that the most popular women’s mobile health applications may not be following privacy laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Researchers looked at the 23 most popular women’s health apps and found that many “have poor data privacy, sharing, and security standards.” All apps allowed behavioral tracking and 61% allowed location tracking.
