Politico reports the tension over state and federal privacy laws is growing with state activity escalating and action by Congress stalled. Politico looks at hurdles surrounding a federal privacy law and the push by members of Congress, including Washington state representatives, for a national standard. The Washington Privacy Act recently came its closest to passing in three attempts and sponsor State Sen.
