- A Surveillance Technology Oversight Project report shows how existing data-access mechanisms and tracking tools can be adapted to monitor pregnant people who may be seeking or may have obtained abortions, Wired reports. STOP Executive Director Albert Fox Cahn said, “None of the tactics we will see used to target pregnant people will be new.”
- More than 40 Democratic members of U.S. Congress wrote a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai calling for the company to stop unnecessary collection and retention of people’s location data, claiming it can be used to identify those seeking reproductive health care, The Associated Press reports.
