A report commissioned by European Parliament’s United Left group warns human rights protections in the U.K. will see "significant regression" following the results of Brexit, Yahoo Finance UK reports. The U.K. government plans to no longer follow the Charter of Fundamental Rights, stating various provisions will be covered either by domestic laws or the European Convention on Human Rights. The report finds several areas of protection are "significantly weaker" than they would be under the Charter of Fundamental Rights, including the right to the protection of personal data and the right not to be discriminated against due to gender, sexuality and disability.
