ZDNet reports a survey conducted by Brazilian business school Fundação Dom Cabral showed 52% of board-level executives felt they are responsible for bringing their company into compliance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law. In regard to compliance efforts, 40% of the 207 companies polled by FDC said they would not be fully LGPD-compliant when the law's grace period ended Aug. 1. Additionally, the survey showed 66% of respondents have a data protection officer in place, but only 14% of those DPOs have workloads dedicated exclusively to data protection.
